RH: The simple truth is -- collected premiums need to cover outgoing expenses.
M: Only if you are a for profit enterpise.

Please explain where a non-profit enterprise gets the money to pay for expenses that go beyond the funding they take in?

We need equity in access to health services - those who need the services should get them, not only those who can pay for them.

You don't need to involve insurance companies into that equation. That goes to health care providers. The question is -- who pays? Why should the costs be passed on to a small subset of society, such as insurance company policy holders, or other patients of a medical facility (who have medical bills of their own)?

It should be paid via taxation, by all, if we decide it is a societal goal.
