Rich : 'For many years we, as investors, have (or should have) been cognizant of C-level pay packages. Perhaps soon, the U.S. share holders will put pressure on U.S. companies.'

Hey Rich - I guess the reason why it hasn't happened earlier is that making (and having) lots of money is generally valued far more in the US than most other places. Which was probably OK until the subprime fiasco turned things topsy turvy.

With the current outlook on shareholder returns, though, egregious pay packages or subpar performance by CXOs should come in for increasing shareholder scrutiny. Particularly from pension funds etc. struggling to generate their target returns.
