It's been a couple of days since my dad passed away, and I have been on the phone and computer mediating between various and voiciferous family factions about scheduling a funeral, who is and is not invited to or refusing to go to the funeral, and who and what should be in the obituary. It makes me want to run away to Alaska and not interact with my family at all. Wait, I already did that....

I'm ready to forget the family drama, and bury myself in other, more cheerful, activities, but I'll go to the funeral as the family peacemaker, and then perhaps I'll be done with family drama for a while.

Any way, I'm glad I went to Boston when I did, and I'm glad that his suffering is over. May he rest in peace.
