In investing one must make a decision as to whether it is better to have High returns or Restful nights. There will always be an element of risk in every investment. There is even Risk in stuffing all your money in a mattress and sleeping on it, especially if you smoke in bed.

The Utility Industry is worth putting some money in, especially if they are paying a good return - above 6%. Just keep in mind that there is a Risk involved.

If you can sleep at night without worrying whether the Market goes up 1K points or down 5K points then you have your money invested soundly.

Just keep in mind that even the US$ is at Risk in our Global Economy. Make sure you have a little Insurance in case of devaluation. A small investment is some Gold or Precious metal funds is like Homeowners Insurance. You never really expect to collect but it sure is nice to have when the house burns down.
