I didn't start doing anything on a regular basis for a long time after I recognized I was a pagan. For me, it became a matter of the desire to do something more focused reaching the top of the priority heap. I eventually reached the point where I had figured out enough of what I believed to get started and had dealt with all the other major issues in my life to the point where I could make space for a ritual.

I still find it hard sometimes to get it together, especially for the sabbats, since I always feel like I should be making a big deal about them, but I often don't feel that I have the time and energy. I think one problem is that I forget that things don't always need to be big and formal. A small, informal, daily ritual like taking a minute at night to mentally bless your house or cat or spouse is part of doing "witchy" things, too.

How do you stay motivated to do rituals on a regular basis?
