A fun example of Euler’s formula is to let theta = pi, giving (noting cos pi = -1 and sin pi = 0, and doing a a little rearranging):

e^(i pi) + 1 = 0

where the carat indicates an exponential.

Here you have a simple formula using all five, and only the five, most important numbers: e, i, 1, 0, and pi

Some philistines would add phi – the golden ratio – to this list, but they are generally communists and cannot be trusted.
