Roku 3 seems to best fit these requirements, but is there anything better on the market (or has been announced as soon being on the market) I should look at?I'm not sure that the Roku 3 fits your requirement #2. From what I can tell from their website it's limited to whatever apps are available. Granted, Roku seems to have an app for most services, but that's not the same as being able to watch anything from your computer. The only device that can do that as far as I know is the Chromecast, but that fails your requirement #1. If you do use the chrome browser you can "cast" any tab from the browser to your TV through HDMI. Also, using the chromecast app on an Android or iOS phone you can stream your entire phone screen.
