---The attack on our consulate in Benghazi on September 11, 2012, was likely the work of the same forces that attacked our homeland on September 11, 2001. This latest assault cannot be blamed on a reprehensible video insulting Islam, despite the administration’s attempts to convince us of that for so long.

"No, as the administration has finally conceded, these attacks were the deliberate work of terrorists who use violence to impose their dark ideology on others, especially women and girls; who are fighting to control much of the Middle East today; and who seek to wage perpetual war on the West."---

continues:

---On Syria, Mr Romney said he would work anti-Assad rebels and "ensure they obtain the arms they need to defeat Assad's tanks, helicopters, and fighter jets".

"I will work with our partners to identify and organize those members of the opposition who share our values and ensure they obtain the arms they need to defeat Assad’s tanks, helicopters, and fighter jets," his prepared text says.---

Funny he should talk of arming Syria's rebels, I hope he has established who they are.
We have now been in Afghanistan for twelve years, our excuse for going into Afghanistan was to destroy al-Qaeda and kill/capture OBL.

Al-Qaeda were armed by America to fight the USSR in Afghanistan. Americans should be fully aware of how that policy came back to bite in NY.

We are now supporting al-Qaeda in Syria along with God knows what other rabble. We do know many of them came from Libya, and we also know they had access to chemical weapons in Libya.

Assad's Syria presented no threat to America, the rebels will be.

Romney's policies will invite many more Benghazi's, more American hatred, more American money and lives.

More 9/11's !!??

Continues:

Mr Romney was also due to say that he would put Iran "on notice" and that the US and their allies "will prevent them from acquiring nuclear-weapons capability".---

Nothing new there then. Punish Iran for doing what is, or should be, expected of them, for doing what they are allowed to do under the NPT they signed up to.
Our treatment of Iran could bring about the death of the NPT. There is no point in signing it.

What will he do when the Jordanian regime meets its Arab Spring.

What will he do about Israel, their ignoring UN Resolutions, continually expanding into territories it has no right to under the Geneva Convention.
Forgot myself there for a minute, forgot Israel barks, America attacks.

What does that mean for Syria 18 months on? We are faced with a scenario with a touch of the Russian civil war; opposition groups attack the regime with no strategy. The Syrian regime controls the cities, possesses effective military strategy and has all the guns. Moreover, as Dr Christopher Phillips pointed out, Assad’s regime is excellent at propaganda. What does the SNC have? Not even a radio station to broadcast its message whatever that is. As Stephen Starr has pointed out, the regime might be brutal but at least it represents stability and continuity. It shouldn’t surprise us then that Syrian citizens, Friends of Syria and the international community are hedging their bets. The SNC has not given anyone a credible reason to support them. Until the opposition coordinates with the FSA more effectively and delivers a clear political agenda, opposition activists like Suheir Attasi will remain frustrated. It also means that Professor Ghalioun’s prediction will come true: more blood will flow.
