I believe that the roth 401(k) is effective by law in 2006. However I haven't seen or heard too much about it.

I am curious to hear if other people know the following:

1) Is it true that the Roth 401(k) is available this year?
2) How can one participate in such a plan? (is it necessary for the
employer to provide this, or can I participate on my own in a brokerage
account?)
3) Is there an interaction between regular 401(k) and Roth 401(k) or can one contribute to both in a year to the maximum if resources permit?

thanks
