Hello All:I have a question about Roth IRA's that I hope you can help me with. I told my friend what I thought, but I would like to have some input. My friend was in a Roth IRA situation and discovered that somehow he was losing money or not getting his money's worth. So, he decided to withdraw from the Roth IRA. When he did so, he said the money was taxed. He wants to know if he would file this IRA on his taxes since he lost money and it was taxed. He also wants to know if it's a dedcution or not, and if he has to file it??? Can anyone give me more information for him?(He is under 59 1/2 and doesn't qualify for any of the exceptions.)Thanks,Gompers
