I'm new to this board, so if this has already been answered elsewhere, I apologize. I've been doing research on opening a new Roth IRA. In going of the fee schedules, it seems they are pretty exorbitant. (On stocks for accounts with less than $5,000, charges of $38-42 PLUS .94%.) Does this seem outrageous to anyone else? I've checked with Bank of America, Smith Barney, and a mutual fund (where the only investment choice is their fund). Any suggestions on places whose fees are more reasonable?I'd really appreciate any help on this.
