Well, I've spent a bit of time trying to find the answer to this question on my own, but I'm at a loss. Can anyone tell me the mechanics of a Roth IRA account held through an online broker? I'm particularly interested to know how flexible they are as far as changing which stocks are in the account. Also, will there be limitations on my transactions? Any explanations about how they work would be greatly appreciated. I currently use Ameritrade for my stock portfolio, and since I am pretty happy with them I would like to have my IRA with them as well.
