I now think we are back to the original question. As I figure it, I have a loss of about $900. TurboTax says the cost basis is $15,000, a Capitol Gain of $13,000, and about $3,000 more in taxes.

I just wanted to make sure I was right in the way I did the calculations, since this is the first time I have worked with Capitol Gains, and since there was such a great discrepency from the TurboTax figures.
