please help, I hope we haven't made a major tax mistake.
As a single, I sold my house last year which I had lived in for a gazillion years and took the $250,ooo tax exclusion
In January of this year, I married and moved in with my husband who has lived in his house for a gazillion years. He has NOT transferred the house to me. We are selling the house next month. Will he still be able to take the exclusion, even though I have not lived in the house 2 years?
please help so I won't be divorced immediately!
