Anyone know how to handle Salary Reduction SEP IRA's on the 1040? On my W-2, the "wages, tips, other compensation" area is less than my actual salary, due to the salary reduction plan. I plan to enter this smaller amount on line 7. The confusion I have is at line 28: I'm not sure if it makes sense to include the difference (salary reduction amt.) here or not. It seems that my income is already adjusted for this amount back at line 7. Am I right? This is the1 1st year I've had to deal w/SARSEP, so I'm a bit confused.
I know this is an overly specific question, but any help is appreciated.
