Florida Attorney General Bob Butterworth last week threatened legal reprisal against Major League Baseball, following its decision to scrap two teams by next season. ``It's not going to be easy for baseball to move out of Florida,' declared Butterworth, sporting a Marlins cap.

As part of his new mission to save big-league baseball from extinction in Florida, Attorney General Bob Butterworth revealed that he will expand his prosecutorial targets to include both fans and players. ...

When asked how people could be forced to attend ball games against their will, the attorney general somberly replied, ``There are times when civil liberties must be set aside for the common good.'

One option is for the National Guard to round up citizens and take them to the ballpark for what Butterworth called ``enforced recreation.'
