1. Improve Customer Service (it is rotten!) drastically and rapidly

2. Improve service at every customer "touch" (ticket agents,
loaders, in flight service and so on).

3. Be first to implement streamlined and superior security measures,
and let customers know about it personally (not through a well
publicised media campaign).

4. Cut unprofitable flight lines drastically (laying off more
workers). Focus on most fundamental lines, cutting international
flights whereever it need be.

5. Cut salaries at top executive levels for a period of a year.

6. Give business passengers a break on ticket prices.

7. Establish more partnership programs with other airlines so
that each airline can cover its most profitable segment with
reduced competition.

8. Improve flight punctuality significantly.

9. Negotiate better terms from all - suppliers, debtors, manufacturers
across the board. Improve cash flow.

10. Ultimately, reestablish UAL as a carrier with limited market
segment exposure, but operating profitably within those segments.
