Your stone fountain sounds wonderful. There is something similar, I believe, at the Heitz Winery in the Napa Valley. The stone there is from the old grist mill nearby.

I am interested in the open columbarium concept. Our church has bronze plaques affixed to the wall (overlooking San Francisco Bay) and ashes are buried on the grounds without markers.
