Didja read the Millionaire Next Door? I certainly recommend it. And I met one today.

The secretary at my local SCH branch was all atwitter today. She said in a hushed voice "did you see what schwab is up to today?" "I sure have I replied!" (I'm sitting on my 165% gain and feeling pretty damn smart.)

I said "do you have a lot of shares?" She nodded knowingly. "How long have you worked for Schwab?" I asked. "Seventeen years, and I saved every penny I could." She gulped and said "I have 10,000 shares. I just became a millionaire in schwab stock alone."

I congratulated her and told her she was an unknown star of this book, and she ought to read it. She responded "that's just the half of it. I got divorced eight years ago and my husband got 1/2 of my stock then!"

I can just see all the dentists, doctors (etc) walking through the door and thinking this poor lady hasn't got the proverbial pot. Man I love these stories!

(She's 45 and single, BTW !!)
