I hadn't realized that superconducting wiring was really only optimal for cramped conditions. My neighbor is a high voltage engineer, and he is pretty clear on the fact that if you have a a basketball court sized chunk of space available, high voltage distribution is fine without superconductors. Whoops. If you're in a nuclear submarine then yes a superconducting wire is good to move buckets of electrons through a tiny pipe. The only way my little universe would be profitable was if we all commute to work in nuclear submarines in the future. Hey, it could happen!Rich
