I've tried the search option, but after wading through several posts, I couldn't find what I wanted.

Before I make an attempt, I was wondering if anyone has had success getting their Sears Card (not the Sears MasterCard) interest rate lowered. I only have $150 on the card that will be paid off this month and I don't want to close it since it's one of my oldest accounts and it's in good standing.

I find it a handy card to have in case of appliance break-downs because there is usually a sale combined with the favorable XX%-off and no payments/interest for however many days if you use the card.

However, it bugs me to no end to have an account that charges 20%+ APR, even if the amounts are paid off quickly.

Thanks for listening!
