Seattle Pioneer says

While I think Lincoln was a great President, I think he has significant areas of failure in his Presidency as well, which ranks him down a notch or two.

His biggest failure by far was hid failure to hold the union together without war...

The South began firing on the north on January 10, 1861, and was documented in Harper's Weekly two weeks later.

The Confederate States were formed on February 9, 1861.

Lincoln was sworn in on March 4, 1861.

I must say that in following this thread I am forced to agree that naming a sewage treatment plant after George Bush is disrespectful and inappropriate.

After all, a sewage treatment plant cleans up a mess, it doesn't add to it with every passing week.
