second, Does Israel REALLY do everything it can to restrain extremists? I am skeptical on that point.Israel isn't restraining all the extremists all the time. For example, the wild eyed "hill youth" of the settler movement are getting too much tacit support. But the "temple mount faithful" are different. They get no support. Israel is quite vigilant not to let them provoke violence on the temple mount.I couldn't find reference to this in either Jpost or Haaretz ... that surprises me if activists are going up on to the mount, and Palestinians are reacting and being arrested ... where is the mediacoverage?Because it didn't amount to much. Probably a bunch of zealots posing as tourists got onto the mount and began praying, and were quickly removed by Israeli police. And then equally zealous palestinians try to extend the incident by throwing stones and getting arrested. Just another day in Jerusalem, except in the eyes of those trying to incite more violence.Elan
