The person who opens our office every day was robbed at gunpoint this morning - 18th time in his life, for him. I've been robbed once, pistol whipped and shot at. My parents were robbed 5 times in their business. One of my insureds was shot 13 times through a locked bathroom door and another's Father was shot to death in an armed robbery of their store, here. We feel a need to protect ourselves, if we should have a chance to do that.

I have a Colt Python and Sig Sauer P228 (9mm) that I will take to the office. The employee who was robbed wants to bring a .380 and our employer has a cheap .38 Special snub-nose revolver (both of which I would like to fire at a shooting range to see how they work.)

I reloaded bullets for the Python and Sig Sauer with Remington Hollow Point projectiles some time ago, but the bullets are quite old. What are the best factory self-defense bullets at present for these calibers - .380, .38 Special, 9mm and .357 Magnum?
