Looking for someone to point me in the right direction wherein I can research my options in managing a self directed retirement account. Currently I self direct through DLJ but the transaction fees are eating up my profits in a serious way. I am looking for the most cost-effective (read inexpensive) way to transact my portfolio and still have something left to retire on...in a manner that the IRS will not cry Foul. I was hoping to use a discount broker (and I've been reading the Fools articles on this) but nowhere in these boards have I found an answer to my particular question. Any advice ? Thanks, TD
