On the 2nd of January, 2004, the BSE SENSEX closed at an all time high of 6026 approx. Up from 2905 on the 28th April 2003, a rise of more than 107% in a little over 8 months !!!
Expectations are that while it won't be possible to repeat the same kind of returns in 2004, the Sensex might well cross 7000.
Shares to watch....SBI, Reliance, L&T, ONGC, Tisco, Tata Motors, M&M
Mid-caps like MICO, Sundram Fasteners, Bharat Forge, Matrix Labs, Nicholas, Aurobindo should also do well.
All in all, India is looking excellent.
PS--I am an Indian almost fully invested in Indian stocks. Making money hand over fist ;-)
