I am covered by a public, defined-benefit retirement plan plus I have a goodly amount in 403B accounts. Additionally I have a business concern that is becoming profitable to the extent I wish to avoid the self-employment tax to the extent possible. What are the general rules of thumb about when to set up a SEP-IRA, limitations relative to profitability of the business, or is it even a possibility for someone with my various retirement accounts?
