Separately, the Securities and Exchange Commission filed a civil action against Paul Johnson, 42, a former managing director and senior research analyst at Robertson Stephens, for issuing fraudulent research reports on companies that went public during the Nasdaq bubble

Having read some of his reports, I'm not surprised by this development. He used to shamelessly tout a lot of his own stocks.

Of the three authors of The Gorilla Game I have great respect for Moore as a marketing man. When I heard Paul Johnson touting some of his stocks in an outrageous manner, I lost all respect for him -- he is nothing but a sell side pusher. I have no opinion on Tom Kippola.
