I just left GTE in March, after a fourteen year stint with various divisions of the company. If you would like to e-mail me privately, I can share some insight with you.

The impact the merger will have on your position depends entirely on what the position is. If they've offered you the VP of sales for the Western Region, I'd begin to worry. If you're in a customer-facing position, no problem. The merger will actually be a good thing.

Another thing is that since the merger finalized, if there was going to be a conflict with the position they offered you, that job would probably have been frozen and not offered to you in the first place.

Good Luck!
