SG: It sounds like it is really unhealthy to lose a job. Then it is compounded by people adapting more unhealthy habits to deal with the stress. And to make it even worse, I'll be a lot of them lost their health insurance just when they needed it most.

There is also the evidence of a person in good health retiring and then dropping dead within six months. Seems to happen a lot. Conjecture is that they are so identified with the job that they die from lack of a job.
