Interested in experienced investors' thoughts on shorting the VOO or equivalent. I'm pretty sure we are in for a substantial pullback between now and the fiscal cliff timeframe and want to earn a bit while waiting for a better entry price.

This sounds like a perfect "sell a put" scenario, however, I'm not seeing any option interest out there so am confused about why that might be.

Please provide any insight or advise on any better alternatives I should be considering (beyond an actual short or SH ETF). Thanks!
