I have been trading options on a fairly frequent basis (3-4x/wk) Do I need to list each option transaction or can I just summarize to gain or loss for calendar year?

thanks

Nope...you can't summarize...unless you provide backup worksheets that detail each and every transaction similar to the Sch D layout. The law is clear on this.

If you are doing all of this trading without a tax program to keep thing reported and in line, you are truely foolish.
