Subject: Should I Learn to Golf? Date: 6/14/2007 2:13 PM

To golf or not to golf...I am 35, I work in commercial banking and my boss suggested I start golfing. I am very frugal and cringe at paying $ for green fees (plus my wife and I just had our first child). However, I live near several, nice, inexpensive public golf courses. I feel my only motivation for golfing is networking and client development, other than that I would rather be surfing, which I have done my entire life.

Is golf worth the investment both from a time and money perspective for someone in my shoes? Any advice is greatly appreciated!
