Do you really understand VULs? You should venture over to the Insurance board and run a search; lots of reading material. There are some especially good posts by FoolWAM especially regarding whether one is even a decent candidate for a VUL; TTRoberts makes the case for a VUL as part of a portfolio if one is a decent candidate; libc has just written a new chapter about VULs for his insurance boot camp (and as of a few days ago was offering it for free). There are several other vry knoweldgeable posters there and my apologies to those I have forgotten.

There is alot missing about your situation for anyone of these boards to even hazard a guess as to whether a VUL might serve you well.
