Sigh. Another gun control debate will happen in 3... 2... 1...

This guy (I'm assuming it's a guy, it almost always is) clearly had serious issues. I can't even fathom killing kids that age. My SON is in first grade, I don't care what those kids did or were doing there's zero excuse for threatening them at all.

The one gun-control thing I will say: yesterday Michigan's legislature passed a law that would allow those who obtain an enhanced Concealed Pistol License to carry into Pistol Free Zones (like schools). Some will certainly argue that the governor should not sign the law because of this shooting. I'd argue that this shooting is proof of why the law is needed... how many lives could have been saved if even one teacher had been armed and able to shoot back? By the time the cops got there 27 people (including the shooter, shot himself perhaps) were dead. That's what good waiting for the cops to arrive gets you, dozens dead.

My God, the cops on that scene... walking into that. That's PTSD material right there! Anyone who says that isn't a tough job isn't paying attention. I'd puke right there and be useless for the rest of the day, week... month.
