I obviously made a very big mistake saying publicly how I felt about Grameen's way of thanking people who donate to them. I realize that this is a public board and that I opened myself to criticism but I certainly didn't expect this kind of response.

I have read all the responses and I agree with a lot of them. I will not be donating to all the charities again, if I donate to any of them through Foolanthropy next year. I didn't do my homework; I got caught up in the spirit of the moment. That was not very Foolish at all. If I am not familiar with any of next year's charities and do not feel comfortable with donating to them I will instead take that money and donate it to a charity in honor of Foolanthropy. It will be one that I do know, trust and believe in. I will invest my money more Foolishly next year.

See you next year if nothing else to let you know where I put my money.

I still think you need to ask us when we sign up if we want Thank you notes or acknowledgements. That is my suggestion on one way of making next year's drive better.
