Sorry for the late post on the link, which will probably only work for another 5 hours or so, but I didn't have time to post earlier.

WASHINGTON -- Sikorsky Aircraft has decided not to protest the Navy's decision to give the $6.1 billion contract for the presidential helicopter fleet to rival Lockheed Martin and its international partners.

...

Sikorsky, in a prepared statement, said that its VH-92 Super Hawk met the Navy's contract standards and had the best performing helicopter. But Lockheed's US101 cabin -- which is longer and wider than the Super Hawk's -- more closely met the requirements and was a key factor in the Navy's decision.

Translation: they know they don't have a leg to stand on.

Lockheed's US101 has several components, including the main transmission and rotor blades, that will be built overseas.

I have heard, but have not confirmed, that Sikorsky's airframe engineering was done in China. And, is Sikorsky claiming that they had no foreign components? I would seriously doubt it. Once again, you can't set a requirement and then say after the fact that the requirement is no good. I suspect that's another leg they couldn't stand on, and they knew it (or were told it).
