Simply put, the warmer the air, the more moisture it can hold and the more moisture in the atmosphere, the greater the potential precipitation (either as snow, ice or rain depending on the temperature of the air). True - But this is not happening: New paper finds no evidence of increased humidity in US, contradicts global warming theory....A paper published today in the Journal of Applied Meteorology and Climatology finds, contrary to global warming theory, that "little change has occurred in dewpoint and specific humidity" in the U.S. over the 80 year period from 1930 to 2010. The paper also finds "trends in relative humidity show little change for the period 1947 – 2010." Thus, the paper contradicts the theory of a runaway greenhouse effect allegedly due to positive feedback from increased atmospheric water vapor and specific humidity. See: http://www.thegwpf.org/no-evidence-of-increased-humidity-in-...Also, according to NOAA, atmospheric humidity has decline the last 15 years:http://c3headlines.typepad.com/.a/6a010536b58035970c017ee7c6... The atmospheric humidity levels that NOAA researchers publish continue to trend lower than climate model predictions - however, the mythical runaway global warming that catastrophic global warming (CAGW) alarmists promulgate requires atmospheric humidity to increase http://www.c3headlines.com/2013/01/atmosphere-humidity-noaa-... The Denialists, Obfuscators, the totally "Foxed-up," the brain-damaged "Campfire Smoke Inhalers" and other scientifically illiterate sorts equated record snowfall to cold temps when the exact opposite is true. Sad, really. Actually what is really sad is your ignorance.-=Ajax=-
