Since In and Out is a California based company, I wonder how skewed those numbers are. The Minimum wage in California is $8.00. And why would that make a difference for their locations in Arizona, Texas, Nevada, and Utah?In San Fran the minimum wage is $10.55 an hour. And there's exactly one location in the city. If you're really interested, the history of the company began with locations along interstate 5 in the central valley, places like Fresno, Modesto, and even in the middle of nowhere. They made a niche locating along interstates in the west. The average household income in the central valley, e.g., Modesto, isn't any different than Texas. You're argument that high wages in California make this example remote doesn't fly. Average household income in Fresno Ca is lower than the average household income in Dallas Tx.
