It appears that the methodology is suspect.Other than that, I'd say you have two choices, depending on how involved you care to be and whether investing might cause you to loose sleep at night. The simplest option is to plunk all the money in index funds. Its cheap, it works well, and its "fire and forget," ie you don't have to pay attention. If you are willing to devote a fair bit of time and attention to individual stocks and you don't mind the possibility of short term losses that could be steep, then do individual stocks. Otherwise, index funds will be great for your purposes.
