If it were truly a drug deal, she would have shot him dead on the spot.

Of course, this won't be 'counted' ....since she did not have to fire the gun.

On the other hand, if she didn't have the gun, we might be reading about yet another home invasion/rape/murder/torture event in the paper instead.

When someone is determined enough to break down your front door.....you need to have a gun.

Unless, of course, you're willing to cower, give up your life maybe, while waiting the 5 or 10 or 15 or 20 or 40 minutes for the police to show up. They don't show up for 'suspicious knocks' on the door. Not until the door is kicked in, then you're looking at potentially a homicidal maniac high on drugs.....
