Snow tires provide better grip only when there is enough snow to pack in the tread grooves between the rubber lugs, and the underlying surface isn't slick. The road conditions in the video didn't look like there was enough snow to make a difference. In those conditions, snow tires may be worse than all-season due to the larger areas of flat rubber.
