DH has officially retired and is now here with me in WI full time. We are officially WI residents again after spending $375 to retitle the 2 cars, get plates and DLs yesterday. DS#3 is now living in Brooklyn; he and the cat arrived via UHaul yesterday. He has 2 weeks to get settled in, then starts his new job. The Bears won last night, too. Happy camper here :)

I am currently living in Brooklyn and my husband will be retiring in a few months. We will be moving to MA to be closer to our daughter and grandkids.
The thought of retiring is pretty scary. My husband has worked twelve hour days for many years. I keep telling him that this next chapter in our lives will be the best.

I'm still working but as my moniker infers, I'm gettinnear. Retirement don't scare me a bit and I've been employed full time since I was 18.

I retired at the end of 2009 and can't figure out how I had time to work.

That's what I hope happens to me! But I have about 14-16 years left to go. Being one of the youngest of the Baby Boom generation ('63 vintage), I enjoy watching the process happens and all you "old farts" clear out! That's gonna be me one day!

We've had the "younger/older,"baby boom / Gen X" discussion on here before.

======================

Be watching the news out of Hawaii around mid-month. LOTS of rockets! If this test works......it should be in the news. If it doesn't, it WILL be in the news (if it bleeds, it leads).

cryptically,

Yoda
