So as I've said many times before, I think there is an argument for government to relieve the plight of the indigent. If we have another Great Depression, there will again be an argument for a program to relieve the distress that some people will experience.But this is 2007, not 1937. We don't need to relieve the distress of those injured by the Great Depression any more.That's not the argument I was making.
