So for now we just keep going about our lives and if it happens it happens. When I told the nurse at the RE's office this she nearly dropped the phone. They are so much in the business of making money off of people's pain that they were shocked we didn't want to immediately rush down the high tech road.

I had a similar experience at the IVF clinic I was sent to for fertility testing. Among other things, the doctor spent more time talking to us about our financing options than the medical details of the procedure (about 20 minutes of the half-hour we spent with him). We've decided if we DO end up going the "technical assistance" route that we won't go back to this clinic - even though it's highly regarded. I can't imagine the stress of dealing with the sales pitch would help us conceive.
