So, I went to a lawyer today. He was optimistic that this would be resolved within 30 days.

If you have to go to court in the end, this may take a while (depending on where you live, they may have case overload). So be prepared to wait several months or so. However, with the lawyer, you certainly willhear from the dealer soon. So if he calls you or something, refer him to your lawyer and don't talk to him by yourself: professionals are so much better at dealing with this kind of situations!
