So, just to be clear, you don't see large gains in energy efficiency as something that is going to decrease pollution? What I see or don't know is a lot.If that makes me 'ignorant,' well, I'm ignorant.I'm unaware of any studies that prove a switch from petrochem cars to battery powered cars will cause a net reduction in global pollution.I've seen reports that suggest it enhances our national energy independence, but net net, smaller pollution profiale consider ing the long term disasters that nuke and coal and fracking represent....I'm not convinced. I wish I were convinced.I'd LOVE to see that something really is THE silver bullet that would alleviate the impact of a soaring global population's energy needs (wants?).Is it cool that 25% of the Priuses sold in the USA go to California? I dunno. All I see is another chunk of metal and tires occupied by one bean counter in the HOV lane.
