SO next week I'll look at making a totally scratch pizza. maybe using a pita bread......super low sodium tomato sauce if I can find it...otherwise, might have to homebrew some....and low low fat mozzarella cheese...and mushrooms and maybe a few broccoli pieces
and onions....even a smidgen of chicken? Stay tuned for cooking adventures at the tele house....


I don't know what sort of stores are in your area, but we used to live near a really good grocery near Seattle - their fresh-seafood section was bigger than most supermarkets' fresh-vegetable section - and I found that naan makes a good pizza crust. I'd also hit their salad bar and pick up a little dish of cilantro chutney or pesto or some such sauce, some spinach and other vegetables, maybe some diced ham if I wasn't hitting the seafood section for some shrimp... made a great pizza.

Unfortunately, around here there's a Super WalMart and a few grocery stores for people who can't deal with WalMart's incredible variety of exotic foods.
