To say it's pure BS is putting it mildly.Although this is geology not chemistry, you should have no problem with today's homework assignment: compare and contrast kaolinite (AL2Si2O5(OH)4) with glass (SiO2). Be sure to include all relevant information: hardness, cleavability, bond strength, crystal size, etc.Here's a hint: take some baby powder and rub it between your fingers. Describe how it feels. Do the same with some sand. The difference will be quite apparent.
