So, they're thinking about changing their name to "Monster Beverage Corporation." So, if in the future they have a leading product called Pink Lemonade, they're going to want to change their name to the Pink Beverage Corporation? Nothing is wrong with the name Hansen, and I like the HANS ticker too.
Concerning the other thing, increasing the number of shares, they say that this is so that they could do ANYTHING with the additional shares. They mention a stock split as just one example. But it's only an example; they never claim that it's their intention. One example they don't give is the use of the additional shares in options for current management.
My general default is to vote in favor of all stockholder proposals and no management proposals. (In certain cases, where there are good agrments, I would vote in favor of a management proposal or against a stockholder proposal, but I don't think that's the case here, so I'm back to my general default.)
